New York Jewish Week comments on RHR-NA launch of K'vod Habriot

Jim Besser of the New York Jewish Week, wrote a blog entry about RHR's launch of K'vod Habriot; A national Jewish human rights network. Besser is one of a few Jewish journalists concerned about the issues related to torture and has long advocated for greater involvement by the Jewish community in issues of detainee abuse and interrogation techniques.

At the end of the article he mentions that RHR-NA will not address isssues related to Israel. K'vod Habriot is designed as a network that will address human rights issues in North America. RHR-NA is actively engaged in human rights issues in Israel through our support for our colleagues in Rabbis for Human Rights in Israel. We actively support their efforts to end the demolition of Palestinian homes in Jerusalem, to protect the access of Palestinian farmers to their lands and their efforts to protect the rights of the poor in Israel.
