Tell Us Why You Support the Work of RHR-NA
Rabbis
Tell us why you are a “Rabbi for Human Rights.”
You can submit either a video or a written statement. Start of either by saying: “Hello. My name is Rabbi _______________ and I am a rabbi for human rights. I am a rabbi for human rights because…” and tell us why you are a human rights advocate, support the work of Rabbis for Human Rights-North America, what human rights issues you are most passionate about (and why), and how these issues relate to your Jewish values.
Non-Rabbis
Tell us why you are a “Supporter of Rabbis for Human Rights-North America.”
You can submit either a video or a written statement. Start of either by saying: “Hello. My name is _______________ and I am a supporter of Rabbi for Human Rights-North America. I support the work of Rabbi for Human Rights-North America because…” and tell us why you are a human rights advocate, support the work of Rabbis for Human Rights-North America, what human rights issues you are most passionate about (and why), and how these issues relate to your Jewish values.
Video Submission Guidelines
Videotape yourself as instructed above. Keep the video to 3-5 minutes maximum. Upload the video to YouTube and make sure one of your “tags” you add during the uploading process is “I Am a Rabbi for Human Rights.”
Then e-mail Joshua Bloom, RHR-NA’s Director of Online Communications, and include the following information: your name, where you live (city/town and state) and if you are a rabbi, what denomination ordained you. Please attach a photo headshot of yourself and let us know where to find your video online. Make sure to also explicitly grant Rabbis for Human Rights-North America permission to use your video, photo and information you provided on the RHR-NA website.
Written Statement Submission Guidelines
E-mail Joshua Bloom, RHR-NA’s Director of Online Communications, with your one to three paragraph statement following the instructions above about why you are a rabbi for human rights or a non-rabbinic supporter of Rabbis for Human Rights-North America. Please also include the following information: your name, where you live (city/town and state) and if you are a rabbi, what denomination ordained you. Please attach a photo headshot of yourself as well. Make sure to also explicitly grant Rabbis for Human Rights-North America permission to use your photo and information you provided on the RHR-NA website.
