Sign your congregation or Hillel up for Human Rights Shabbat, 2010! Last year, 100 Jewish communities participated in this annual celebration of Jewish values and universal human rights. Join us again this year as Human Rights Shabbat falls on the 62nd anniversary of the passage of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In commemoration of this important anniversary, RHR-NA is creating a Jewish commentary on the Declaration, linking its articles to a variety of Jewish texts. Look in the months ahead for interactive programming for adults and children, human rights liturgies, and other resources for your community. We will also provide resources for those congregations wishing to link Human Rights Shabbat with their observance of Chanukah.
